Broadcast Clips

Below is an updated list of my broadcast clips, with the most recent one appearing at the top.

May 14th, 2019: In the second half of my broadcast doubleheader, I was lucky enough to be able to join the play-by-play team for SBU’s 30th Roth Regatta. It was a whirlwind of an event, and quite the experience for me. It’s a long watch, but below is the event in its entirety.

May 14th, 2019: As part of the pre-game for this year’s Roth Regatta, and for my final package for the Stony Brook News, I took a closer look at one of the star’s of the show, duct tape. It was oddly informative, I just hope it stuck.

May 9th, 2019: After a semester’s worth of footwork and good old-fashioned reporting, I was able to finish my capstone project on pay-for-play and the NCAA. While the article portion of it focused heavily on the perspective of experts in the field of sports economics, the video piece centered on those who would be most impacted by any shifts in the system: student-athletes in less profitable sports. (For the full project, visit https://nikdonadic.wixsite.com/mysite/)

April 22nd, 2019: The Stony Brook News went live for Earth Day and I was live in the field trying to get a feel for how the student body viewed the university’s attempts at “going green.” Unfortunately, university officials weren’t as interested in talking as my peers were.

April 15th, 2019: For the final time, I got to sit at the anchor desk for the Stony Brook News and do what I do best–read the news, off a teleprompter, to the people.

April 8th 2019: This week I got the chance to head out to Cornhole of America, which (according to its owner) is the first establishment of its kind. The indoor cornhole alley is much like your typical bowling alley, but with a distinct Southern twist.

April 1st, 2019: It’s election week on campus and, after four years here at SBU, I decided to try and get to the bottom of why the student body is so apathetic towards student government.

March 11th, 2019: I’ve taken the lead on writing the show’s sports segment for a while, but I finally got my chance to take over the on-air portion of it this week! While it was a big week for Stony Brook sports, it certainly was not the most successful one.

February 25th, 2019: After a few weeks of working behind-the-scenes, I made my first on-air appearance of the Spring semester when I got the opportunity to anchor the Stony Brook News.

December 6th, 2018: For the semester’s final edition of Nicolls Road News, I sat down with Dr. Jason Jones, a Stony Brook researcher who uses social media to analyze social trends. His recent study found a link between late-night Twitter use and a decrease in production by NBA players.

November 6th, 2018: The night cap of my day was a bit longer than the morning edition, as I was in the field reporting live (for the first time) from the Suffolk County Republican Committee’s watch party on Election Day. I spoke with some Zeldin supporters, one of which was on-air, and got a chance to speak with Suffolk County Republican Chairman John Jay LaValle on-air as well.

November 6th, 2018: In the top half of what was quite the busy day for me here at SBU, I got my chance to anchor the sixth edition of “Nicolls Road News.”

October 23rd, 2018: I sat down with Dr. T.J. Gan to discuss how doctors can help cut into the opioid epidemic and also touched on the impact that marijuana may have in New York’s fight against addiction.

September 27th, 2018: This week’s storm left some parts of Long Island facing serious damages, but thankfully SBU’s campus was able to avoid the bulk of it. Although, that’s not to say it escaped completely unscathed.

September 20th, 2018: I found myself back in front of the green screen to tell my fellow Seawolves what was going on, on a busy September weekend for Stony Brook.

April 19th, 2018: (First Time Co-Hosting) Breaking down this weekend’s attractions and sporting events on-campus for SBU students.

March 29th, 2018: (First Time Anchoring) Offering a quick recap of the news and notes stateside and abroad.
